Experience with Rebuilding companies anyone....

I have found 2 companies that rebuild N14 engines.

AAA in Southern California provides an exchange engine with new pistons, valves, bearing, rings, chain, etc, for just under $4k. 2 year warranty. I spoke with Brian from AAA and he uses OEM or equivalent parts and seemed quite knowledgable.

Engine Go Fast in Philadelphia sells rebuilt short blocks for just under $2k. I have not spoken with them.

Has anyone used either? Could you share your experience if so?

Thanks - NO Compression in Northern California:(

Sneed for Speed has engines and engine rebuilds but they are for race and high-performance applications. If you are going to keep it and want to track or autoX thats a good idea.

If you are going to race or track you could go this way. If you are going to daily and don't care about performance parts then you can find a used one at a junkyard that's in good shape and swap it.

car-parts.com is a good search

ECS - Thanks. This is a commuter car for my son. My concern with the salvage yards is you don't really know the condition of the motor. The higher end built motors are more than his 2007 MCS is worth. Thought decisions!
