My factory bulbs in my 09 MCS are a bit dull and yellow. I'm looking to just replace the factory bulb with something else. I went the route of a HID setup in my other cars and dont want to go through that again with ballasts and additional wiring. I want plug & play. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've always been happy with silverstar available at just about any parts store and wally world

a word of caution ... you can find bulbs that are much 'hotter' ... extra bright ones that can generate more heat

I've twice had folks bring cars to me where the headlights (halogen) had crapped out and they had no idea why. In both cases I found the inside of the headlight housing - there's non replaceable wires in their - COOKED to the point the insulation on the wires was gone and bare wires were touching and shorted. No solution other than buying new headlight housings ..... so be careful if you go to something that's supposed to be super bright. I've never had this issue with Silverstar bulbs

I've have had the PIAA Extreme White in my car for a little over 2 years. They are pretty well as bright as my HID's in my 2018 Jeep and GC and close to our Volvo C30 HID's. I'd recommend them anytime even if the cost is a little high.

DS1 bulbs are not cheap to begin with. The PIAA DS1 bulbs are over $500, alittle to much for 2 bulbs

The Extreme Whites I'm talking about are just around $80-90.

I'm assuming you have halogens right now ? DS1 are HID I believe. The halogen Extreme White Plus are H13's
