Just in case you didn't read my message subject, the interface is called Agama Car launcher. Get it from Google Play Store, cost a little but I really like the display.
In the center of mine is the GPS speed. The 6 buttons, 3 on each side, are programmable to the users liking.
Things did change , 2012 , the clock setting on mine was moved from BC to the actual radio , so now I have this one , I can no longer change the clock .
Here is a screenshot from the CBS reste routine in ISTA: -
I've taken it this evening (note my timezone here is GMT+0.
Sorry for necroposting to this thread, but has anyone actually set the time this way? I don't want to buy a enet cable just for it to not work. Or if anyone has any other workaround to the stupid little error triangle I'm all ears.
I haven't tried. Might have to when I get my Coupe back together. I haven't powered anything in a while to even know what is displaying. Might have to do that tonight.
If you have access to ISTA you can reset the Time/Date automatically under the register battery function, or again as part of the CBS data reset.
I have Bimmerlink/BimmerCode and I know registering the battery is in one of them. Not sure if it would reset time or not. I will have to check. I also have a code reader that can register the battery. I am looking at purchasing Bimmergeek's Protool as well so if one of those don't work it will suck.
I just did this to my R55. I can confirm the ISTA+ method works for my car, no more check control for the clock! Main struggle was finding and installing ISTA and BMW standard tools. Once you're in the program, go through service functions to registering a new battery, and during the process the date and time will be set, no need to actually register a new battery or anything. The clock actually shows in the tach now too. clock is working!
Thank you all that contributed! I downloaded a copy of ISTA, installed it but couldn't get it to work properly.
I had to go into the installation folder, run ediabas konfigurator2.0.0, change the interface to STD ODB, click OK. Then in ISTA set the interface to Ediabas default settings. After doing this in ISTA New/Read Out Vehicle Data worked so did registering the battery.
The clock issue and service codes were driving me crazy after upgrading to a Siecane radio. I was able to fix them both using ISTAD but like DogfaceSGM mentioned there are a few ‘tweaks’ needed to the software. YouTube has a few good links but it is not for the computer novice.
