Replace engine or part out

I have a 2011 MCS that broke a timing chain and consequently parts that aren't supposed to meet met in spectacular fashion. The car has 120k miles and it is in pretty good shape other than the engine. I am at a crossroads of what to do next:

1. Find a good used motor and do the replacement myself in my garage
2. Part the car out and buy a newer-to-me car

I have done engine swaps in other cars and am comfortable tackling a big job. Just not sure that it's worth the investment in time and money.

Any thoughts on the bests course of action? I have parted out older Porsches before and there is a strong market for used parts - is there the same for MCS's?

Thanks for the help!

I would pull the head and plan to rebuild the head. We've done several here and it takes some time, but was cheaper than a new engine.

Any idea how much it would be to rebuild the head?
