Dascham wiring safety question

Hi all,

I just finished installing a new dashcam. I routed the cable the long way around the passenger door (perfect length, less splicing, less clutter). Everything looks and works great. There is just one spot that I would like your opinions on.

I tucked the usb cable in between the pillar trim and the ceiling padding. The question is, is it safe there? I'm wondering if there is much chance of it impeding proper functioning of the airbag should it need to deploy or creating a hazard in the case of deployment.

No problem on that location. I have seen deployed side curtains of a R56 and the bags will come out from seam between the door and trim cover (cover will lift-up towards the windshield) if you can remove that cover then it will be best to route the wires behind the air bag assembly if you are running wires along the pillar. Zip-tie will be your best friend for this just make sure you do not zip-tie on the airbag itself.
