Fuel Pressure Gauge for N14 engine?

Sorry if this has been discussed before (i searched but found nothing relevent). I was just wondering if adding a in-car fuel press. Gauge would be helpful for monitoring the health of the troublsome HPFP and fuel system in general? Is there a port where a electrical sending unit could be installed easily?

You might consider P3 Guages. Its a mono screen digital screen that mounts to your dash and plugs into the scan port of your car beneath the drivers side dash. It monitors many functions and can customized.
There are some mobile phone apps that can do the same. ECS has the P3 and Bav Auto has information about the OBD mobile apps on their website.
Of course your local dealer can monitor your fuel pressure output for the in tank pump as well as the HPFP. This is well documented in the HPFP threads as some people have this done under warranty. The price on these went for $395 to over $1200 at some dealers in the last 2 years. So shop around and do your research!!!!

Yeah, i'd like to monitor it real-time as i drive...

I just checked out the P3 Gauges website, it doesn't seem to monitor fuel pressure.

Scan-gauge does though, similar concept, thanks for the idea!

Scan gauge

very popular with land rover enthusiast s since there is no way to watch coolant temp in them easily and they loose headgaskets a lot!
