Way Motor Works Hoot Heat Shiel Install Question

Can someone explain how to install the hood heat shield. Having trouble figuring out how the notched side slides under the scoop?

I'm guessing it uses the connection points at the factory hood shield. Re: pic.

It does. The question is how to get the notched part up under the hood?

The notched part goes between the black plastic piece and the metal.

Worked like a champ! Not sure if those plastic fasteners will hold. They seem pretty loose?

WMW says you can add a washer to tighten up the fastener. Has anyone done this?
