Looking a 09 r56 and have a question.
Hello, I am looking at buying a 2009 mini base and I Believe that means it's an r56 if I am not mistaken. Anyway I want to get a pre purchase inspection done before I do go and buy it but I want to know if anyone knows what the average cost of the inspection Will be? Also is there anything I should have them check closely? I plan on getting the inspection done at a mini dealership in Cleveland Ohio. Anyone had experience with them? Are they trust worthy? The car is being sold at a different dealership so i don't think there would be any conflicts of interest. Thank you all for taking the time to read and thank you for any replys.
edit: forgot to add the car has 118k miles on it.

Have them carefully check the cooling system, including the thermostat, water pump, and the plastic pipe that connects these 2 parts for leaks. Would be nice to see the BMW blue coolant in the overflow tank. My wild guess is that another MINI dealer would charge about $200 for a complete inspection. Let us know if you decide to go that way and what they do charge.
Will do, it is still going to be a few weeks before I go check it out and do the inspection because I drive semi for a living and won't be home but since the mini has been on the lot for 3 months I don't know if it will sell by then. With how long it's been on the lot is why I am worried and want the ppi.
I take my Mini to Classic Mini in Willoughby Hills on the east side of Cleveland. They are the closest dealer to where I live, Erie, PA. I have been very pleased with them, I would absolutely trust them to do a PPI. I don't have any experience with Mini of Cleveland.
I had Classic Mini do a warranty install of a new engine in my Mini, they were absolutely wonderful about it. They even paid two people at their own expense to deliver it to me 75 miles away in a bad February snowstorm. I have found that you do need to call to get on their schedule at least a week in advance. They don't have a lot of service bays and can't just get to it the next day like like I was used to with the Erie BMW dealer.
