I remember seeing how to update service intervals for the indicator lamps on the cluster but I can't find it again. I would like to change my oil change interval to 5k miles to make it easier to keep track of on my car, the current setting is at 19k miles which makes no sense to me.

 

Somebody else got into this not long ago and I'll suggest here what I did there. Instead of fussing around adjusting something that doesn't want to be adjusted, I get my oil changed when the odometer shows a 5 with 3 zeros or a 1 with 4, mystery solved. The countdown timer is only on for a few seconds anyway.
