TPMS Question

I have a 2008 Cooper S, I just bought wheels from a local seller. They came off of his 2012 Cooper S.

I have done the reset TPMS process several times but it makes no change as the car still gives me tire pressure system warning (says "Inactive"). Do the 2012 sensors not work with 2008?

im not sure but the receiver module could be different. are you sure that they were functioning right on the sellers car?

if you place back one of your original wheels, would that get detected?

Yes we pulled them off his car and his TPMS was clear of any errors.

there was a change at the end of 2009 .... the frequency changed ... look at the 'options' here

I am in the same, but opposite boat, I have a set from pre 2009 that dont work on my 2011. let me know if you want to work something out. They are mounted now, but tires are getting swapped this week, I was going to strip the ones out of my stock wheels.

I am down, just not sure how one of us can do it where the other isnt waiting.

These are the only wheels I have right now so I cant swap something else on.
