R56 How much boost on 9:5 compression ratio
How much boost on 9:5 compression ratio
I just got done with my 2009 mini cooper s rebuild. I replaced the pistons with forged CP Carillo pistons and was wondering after I get done breaking the rebuilt engine in how much more boost can I add to the turbo?
Here is the link to the positions I put in, 77.5 mm bore and 9.5 CR

Are you going with a bigger turbo?
that's kind of a loaded question!
the idea with lower comp is being able to run safer higher boost leave's.
with that comp and a good tune you could run 1,4 bar all day long with no worry's/.
but like i sad its kind of loaded question .

You can run up to 30 lbs of boost on 9.5 to 1 pistons with meth injection. At 30 psi however it's recommended to either install a cylinder support system or Darton mid sleeves to close the open deck block. The CNC Werx CSS should be good for 400 HP and runs about $400. I'm currently running 1.7 bar on JCW factory internals with the X51 turbo and meth injection.
