De-coke in Scottsdale?

I will be up in Scottsdale next weekend and think my mini could benefit from a de-coking. Would you recommend a shop that does this? Also, how much am I looking at spending? What are the indications that I would need this done?

I am the 3rd owner of my 07 JCW and there is no record of it being performed from the stealership so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it hasn't ever been done.

Depending on your driving style and how often you drive your MINI we recommend clean ups around every 50k miles. Your MINI will show symptoms if it is starting to reach the tolerable limit of build up. We have a lot of details about it here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...n_Cleaning.htm and if you want to tackle the job yourself.

If you're wanting a shop to do it, I have seen pricing range from $300-$800 for a carbon clean up. So, call a few shops and get quotes. You can use this site to help you find one in Scottsdale: http://www.minirepairshops.com/.
