ive got some knocking noise under the passenger rear seat, believe its the innner roll bar bushes. Any idea how these come out? Seems rather tight down there. Does subframe need to be lowered/removed?
When do you hear the knocking noise? You think it's the rear sway bar bushing, image below? If so, view this article here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm. Be sure to check over all your other bushings for any signs of wear.
All, I believe its the front sway bar (ANTI ROLL BAR) bushes. When removing the drop link noise was gone. But no play in the drop links which makes me believe its the roll bar bushings. Does anyone know on removal instructions for these? Seems rather tight in that area.
Do a quick Google search and search on the forum here as I believe there are a few threads around about individuals stating they lower the front subframe a little bit to gain access to the front sway bar bushings instead of removing the subframe completely.
I would just just a box end and or ratchet wrench to remove the bolts for the sway bar brackets on both sides, then just slide the bushings off and replace.
