Curious Brake Warning - Cannot Reset

I have a curious R56 issue - I removed the brake sensors several years ago and soldered the end together and protected with heat shrink. A couple weeks ago my brake service and lift warning lights came on which seems odd. I went through all the service the service items including the brakes and nothing shows a service needed except the MOT (was 12/20/2016). I cannot even enter the "Reset" mode for brakes. We do not even have a MOT here in the US. Am I missing something?

Nope... fluid was good....

Jacked up car and found my left front sensor which I had tied off and soldered - had come loose and rubbed through on shock.... Resoldered shorter and attached firmly with zip ties... warning lights went off without even reseting anything.
