Fluid Leak - What do you think?

Over the past week I noticed a slow leak on my garage floor. I lifted the car and took a look of the underside, and there seems to be a leak along one of the gaskets. I also decided to look in the engine bay, and I also see a fluid leak at the back of the engine near the passenger compartment. Anyone experienced something similar and can share their experience on what this may be and what a potential repair job will look like?

I snapped some pics below.

from the pix, it seems like it is coming from the ATF cooler. Try to clean that area and see where fresh staining is coming from.

was there any work done to the car recently?

No work done to the car recently. The dealer called me back and said there were two leaks. The one at the top is from the vacuum pump which will have to be replaced entirely, and the second is from the thermostat assembly housing, which will also have to be replaced. Looking at a $1700-ish repair bill if I decide to go dealer route.

so this is antifreeze! the vacuum pump and the thermostat housing cost less than 250. I recently replaced for NAM member and new it was about 104.
The vacuum pump: http://www.rmeuropean.com/Make/Mini/...ch=vacuum_pump
The thermostat: http://www.rmeuropean.com/Make/Mini/...rch=thermostat

total about $250 parts.

get a quote from non stealership shop.

or, pass by philly and I'll take care of your car
