Shifting hard and CEL

So a couple days ago I put in an Alta hot side tube on my 2008 automatic MCS. Felt great after that. Today it seems like its shifting harder in the lower gears and the CEL just came on. Any ideas if they are related? I think I'll have the code pulled tomorrow. It is running okay besides that.
Anyone's thoughts would be great.

Shifting probably unrelated. Check your slave cylinder for leaking. Also the lower engine and transmission mounts. Very likely the shift linkage which might need some lithium grease.

Please let us know what you find out!

In driving it home, it seems like the turbo isn't kicking in instead of it shifting hard. Just not the power I normally got when putting my foot down on the gas. I'm going to throw it up on my ramps tomorrow to check for any air leaks in the tubes I put in. Hoping the turbo isn't blown..

I had something like this happen to me, the car felt very sluggish after accelerating hard on an offramp. It definitely felt like the turbo was not there. In my case the intake pipe that connects the intercooler on the left hand side of the engine (looking at it from the front of the car, the one you can see just left of the timing chain housing) had been disconnected because I failed to tighten it back up sufficiently. At any point in the intercooler piping I could see how a leak like that would cause a similar behavior as what you are seeing. Turbo is probably fine, just check for leaks!
