Advice needed please?

I, like so many have fallen victim to the oil supply line going belly up due to heat. I got the kit from detroittuned. My baby girl is up on stands for the last week while I slowly work in it but I've run into a problem. The brace/support that goes against the back half of the down tube heat shield won't budge. I still have the front end on and don't think I have the time, tools, patience, or know-how to remove it. Can anyone please tell me how to get that support to move and what tool or tools you used to get it? Many thanks in advance.

The turbo support stanchion? It should be just a 10mm on the turbo side and a 13mm on the engine block end.

Any pictures of what you are having trouble with?

You can call us at the shop and we'd be glad to walk you through what to do.

It is that part exactly. I can get wrenches on the bolt turbo side (engine side is already off) but I can't get them to turn due to not enough room and/or not enough torque.

We use a long 10mm ratchet wrench, Gearwrench and EZ-Red are a couple of options for the long reach ratchet wrenches, but it takes a bit of oomph to get it to come loose.

That's a good option but I think with my knowledge and skills that's a second option.

No need to remove the turbo, you're making more work for yourself removing the turbo.

Update: I did not need to remove the turbo. I did give in and put the car in service mode which is way easier than I thought it would be. Got everything replaced and put back together Wednesday night, took it out for a test and there was an oil leak. So today I pulled it all back apart and I forgot to tighten the banjo fitting to the oil line on the engine side. All is back together again and just got back from a short hard test. All is well. Slight smell from the oil that has been coming out burning off. Everything felt right and sounded right so this should be the last update. I appreciate everyone's help and advice. Gonna get back to motoring!
