Difference between 2007 and 2010 R56?

Hello,

Insurance has written my 2007 r56 hatch off. The damage is entirely cosmetic to the front end.

I am looking at a 2010 r56 hatch. Are there differences in the engine and body of the car? From what I have found I believe them to be the same but am looking for confirmation.

Thank you!

Same engine, same body. 2011-2013 is updated engine and model for the R56

2010 is the year when MINI began to be "LCI".
I do not remember the month of production in which this change was made.
If your 2010 is "pre LCI" there is not differences with your 2007.
If your 2010 is LCI, there is some minimal cosmetic and functional differences (bumper, location of lights, audio sound, etc.)

I have a 07/2010 MINI (euro) and it is LCI.

Thank you. How would you tell if it is LCI or pre LCI?

Thanks

LCI is 2011 model year (but production began around 07/2010). A quick way to tell is that the center console plastics changed from silver to black.
