A couple of months ago I took my mini in to a audio installer for a upgrade. Recently I noticed that the mirror switch is not working properly. The switch is not seated flush in the door panel and all that adjusts are the mirrors folding completely back. Does this switch just pop out? Do I need to worry about components of the switch falling into the inside of the door panel if I try to remove it and see if any wires may not be connected? I would take it back to the installer but it is almost a hour away and would like to attempt it myself if it is a relatively easy fix.

yea been there done that. just take the tweeter housing off. it comes off with it. it's a very flimsy hardware, if anything inside of it drops and you miss it, you're done. and the parts are very small, so be careful.

there is 4 directional buttons in there and the **** has to be aligned with them. i think something in there might be misaligned or already gone missing, so that is your problem.
