I am new to Minis and have this 2007 cooper s manual. I have some oil on the intake hose i believe? I have attached pictures. I also have some oil on another hose. It is the hose attached to the intercooler at the bottom on the passenger side. Is this the pcv valve issue where you have to replace the entire valve cover? Thanks for any and all help.

 

Cookac- Since no else has replied, I'll take a shot. My first guess is that your turbo seals are leaking oil and it's going through your intercooler and back into your intake system. Another possibility is that there is some sort of vacuum problem. I really don't know....hopefully someone else that knows more than me can reply.

 

What's the other end of the small hose look like where it mounts to the valve cover? If it is covered in oil then your ccv is probably leaking in the valve cover. The valve cover has to be replaced if the ccv fails.

 

That is your PCV hose that recirculates
Oil fumes from the crankcase into the intake. Very normal. Some push out more and put a catch can in the line.
