Insurance companies have a way of getting even, rate raises or dropping you like a hot tater.

Looks like you have a roof rack attached to those rails. That may be another issue that's not helping this situation.

They are factory racks and they were on prior to the windshield replacement and the trim used to look normal so I don't think it's the racks

Just posting an update on how Safelite handled the repair....they sent a tech over to look at the car...he saw the moldings were damaged so Safelite ordered new molding for both sides and a setup an appointment when they came in. Last week they came back by my work and installed the new moldings and everything looks great now.

If anyone is wanting to remove the molding on a second gen Mini it appears the easiest way is to remove the torx screws that can be accessed when you open the door...pull out the pressure clips holding the molding over the rear glass and slide the molding forward....it will pop right out of the clip and the entire part is removed without damage to the slip or molding.

Does this windshield trim look normal on the top corners for a replacement?

It's common for windshields to not look exactly the same after a replacement, especially if the replacement was done by a different company or if the car is older. The windshield trim may not fit as tightly as it did on the original windshield. However, if you're concerned about the appearance of the trim, it's best to contact the company that did the replacement to ask if it's normal. If you're in the Fort Collins area, you can contact Glass Repair Fort Collins at https://www.cracksandchipswindshieldrepair.com/ for any windshield replacement needs.
