Speaker frequencies

Hey guys.

Does anyone know what frequencies (crossover points) the factor speakers get? I think I remember reading somewhere that the fronts get full range but the rears are fed a high-pass 100hz but I'm not sure. Does this sound right?

The reason I'm asking is I want to tap into the stereo to add a subwoofer box. I was going to grab a signal off the rear 6x9's but if they aren't fed a full bass signal, they won't be any good to me.

As far as I know, I just have to standard 6 speaker stereo.

Thanks in advance.

That's correct, and therefore you'd want to tap the front speakers for your subwoofer. The topic was discussed here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...nnel-swap.html

BTW, "crossover points" isn't the best term to use here. It usually refers to where frequencies are split between the separate drivers within a speaker (e.g. tweeter, mid, bass).
