Urgent: About to Purchase '11 Countryman all4 - Oil Leak
About to pull the trigger on this vehicle. 2011 w/ 26k miles. Have a quick question though.
There seems to be a very thin coating of oil on most of the top front portion of the engine. I can't find a source of the oil leak. Valve cover perhaps? Any common areas?
Also, after running the car and removing crank case cap, smoke came out. Is a small amount of blow by typical on these cars? I've never owned a turbo vehicle.
Anything else to look for?
Thanks!
EDIT:
Also, both exhaust tips are pretty sooted up. Is this common or and indication of burning too rich or...?
