Need some help with a misfire

Alright so, my car went into limp mode. I babied it to Advanced auto. Found out it was a cylinder 4 misfire. I moved coilpacks around to see if the misfire would move with the coil but just my listening to a change in idle i didn't notice the idle change as i tested. So the misfire is in cylinder 4. So I'm thinking spark plugs. Now that I've changed the sparkplugs, torqued them to 20lbs. the misfire is worse. it sounds like cylinder 3 and 4 are misfiring. I've pulled them both and the idle is still shitty. Thinking I swapped coil packs by accident and it's still crappy. So while i'm still troubleshooting Which wire goes to which cylinder. Each one has a different combo of 3 colored wires. I just want to make sure I have those correct before I move on. I just need some advice. I NEED my car running by Monday. Thanks in advance. I shouldn't need to clear codes to get the misfire to go away should I?

My 2011 N18 had the same kind of issues. It was the high pressure fuel pump. Warranty covered it. I replaced my plugs one at a time, in order to not swap primary wires onto the wrong coil. I would say that the wires for the coils break out of the harness in order, so it would be difficult to put the wrong connector onto the wrong coil pack.

True. Sorry for the mis-information. I did have another issue with misfires, didn't bother to read the codes, as my 2011 is still under my extended aftermarket warranty. That time, the dealer replaced all 4 coil packs. I had already replaced my plugs with NGK's, they said they were fine still. I do have all 4 used coil packs in my possession. 2 are known to be good. Not doing me much good sitting here in my office. Dealer did not mark the bad ones, but if you want all 4, they are free, just pay shipping. Under 50k on them. PM me if interested.

I'm not sure that Autozone can read the fuel pressure codes. You might stop into a good independent MINI/BMW specialist and see if that code is also present.
