2 questions about performance mods

1) I want to do the following upgrades: cams, coil packs, and turbo. I have already put an Alta cold air kit and an Alta hot side boost tube. I have also taken off the secondary cat and one of the resonators. Which of the three upgrades should I do first so that there is maximum effect of each upgrade?

2) I have heard conflicting reports. Is there a header for this engine? If not is there an upgraded exhaust manifold?

Thanks,
John

First... I don't understand... Did you so it already or you are asking?...

If you are asking, I would do the intake first and the others don't matter the order...

My opinion is to install the full exhaust Alta 3"... Or the catback... But I know is expensive...

Yes I saw in some of the buch of MINI Cooper pages that there's an exhaust manifold for performance... But remember....

And this is my opinion: If you install that and keep the same turbo, you will have to tune it... Before tuning it, you might want to buy a bigger downpipe with or without cat. And before that... You might want to keep in mind the exhaust...

$$$ I know... But that's why others starts from back to front in that area

I second that, I plan to do exhaust manifold and catless downpipe at once. I do plan on keeping the remainder of the exhaust the same. Again second the information above regarding the tune. The tune will have the most effect. To that point, I have heard a lot about the intercooler, before and after the tune, has had a significant effect on power output.

Thanks for the input above. I didn't even think about the tune. Starting with the manifold and down pipe is definitely something I could do fairly quickly. The rest would have to wait.😞 However I like the idea of back to front. As to the first question. The only things that r done are the intake and the boost tube.

There's an upgraded intercooler for a good price in ebay...http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/191744714007
I just want to give you an idea... With all the pipes for the intake... You'll finish the system with that
