Get Hotchkis adjustable control arms.

Hotchkis (H-Sport) has poly bushings with zerk fittings, so they can be greased
if necessary and will be effective and durable.
TSW has hard rubber bushings and would be another great choice, but not sure
if they're available right now.
A spherical or heim joint arm has even less flexthan the two above, but would
avoid an open designon a street car, especially if you have winter where you live.
The current Helix arms have a rubber boot over the joints if you want to go this route.

I installed the Helix rear control arms over a year ago, not a single rattle or squeak. Very nicely made and I like that the threaded adjustment part is at the ends rather than in the middle.

The stock will work, but you will have more negative camber in the back than ideal.
This will result in more wear on the inside tread in the back, and a little more understeer.
With adjustable RCAs, you can optimize things better.

BTW, I'm not a big fan of lowering as the suspension travel is already limited in the MINI.
Most people do it for looks rather than performance.

Yeah we've used all the brands and found the Hsport rear camber links to be by far the best as they are the most reliable and quiet.

Any type of lowering you do on your MINI will require adjustable control arms. As everyone has stated, the Hotchkis Adjustable Control Arms are a very quality control arm to go with. They give you camber adjustable from 0 to -4 degrees. You can also get the set of two or the set of four. The lower arms will give you a certain amount of camber adjustability (set of two). All 4 arms will give you a greater range of camber adjustable compared to just the two lowers. Also, with all 4, you can play with the toe adjustment as well. Another little advantage is with all 4 you can kind of play with the rear track width, so you can actually adjust the width of the rear car slightly. Here is the set of 2 installed on our R53. Let me know if you have any questions.
