I think I blew one of my driver side speakers. It's rattling like crazy on lows. I'm wondering if there's an after market solution I can go with that just fits right into it, or if I can buy a replacement speaker. I don't have a HiFi system or H/K, just the standard speakers and radio in my car.
Open the door and listen to it closely , is it pops and sounds very distorted at low volume it might be blown. Check and put pressure on the door and grille to make sure its not just a door clip broken or the sounding area.
It definitely sounds like the speaker. I opened the door and threw some music on. When lows are going, it sounds like it's coming directly from the speaker, like the sound is crackling and rattling. But yes, it's the bottom one near the foot well.
For the speaker, it should just be plug and play, yeah?
I actually ordered one from ECS. $43 for a new one seems fairly reasonable to me. Should probably only take an hour of my life away to put this one in. Anyone know of any good tutorials for taking the door panels off?
