Electrical testing help

Testing the 8-way and 14-way connecter plugs on transmission. Also want to test from plugs to TCM and prongs inside TCM. Also will pull valve body and check resistance at #6 solenoid. My standard multimeter isn't going to work. The prongs can't reach inside connecter or plugs. What type of multimeter leads are used for testing in mini and bmw?

Electrical testing help

You can buy different lead kits or you can take a small pick or papperclip anything metal and stick it into the terminal and than test by touching the paper clip

I'm looking for 4-8 ohms at the solenoids in the valve body and the terminals at the 14 pin harness connector and at the terminal in the TCM. Still waiting on special probes, paper clip not working very well. I noticed the tape around the wire harness was frayed. I peeled back tape to find the jacket on some of the wires was worn away exposing the copper wire. The exposed wire is hard to notice because the damage is ever so slightly exposing the wire. I taped each of the wires and wanted to test that stretch which goes from transmission to TCM. The 8-pin temp sensor plug, 14-pin plug, and the range sensor/selector plug all come together and go to the TCM. What is the best way to test this stretch of wire harness? Can I test volts and ohms? What should the readings be? Finally, once I'm able to complete the repair, do I need to have the TCM reset?
