Since this is my first post I'd like to say hello and thank you for having me. I've been a Mini owner since 2010 and have browsed this site countless times looking for solutions to my problems, but only just now joined.

Anyway, back on topic, I have an issue with my a/c. I have a 2010, non-S Mini. Within the past couple months my a/c seemed to be acting strangely (occasional squeak) but running without issue, until a couple weeks back when it quit. The odd part is that the highest setting will operate the fan, but nothing below it will. So, what should I be looking for? I already checked the fuses and coolant, both good. What should be checked next or what could be the issue?

 

Am a bit confused. At the lower settings, is it not blowing any air or blowing warm air? If the latter, you're probably low on freon..

 

It's not blowing period.

 

Gotcha, probably the switch. Perhaps one of the vendors will chime in on what part that is.

 

Well if that's all it is compared to the other problems I've had with this car I'll take it.
