I borked the rear caliper on my wife's 07 base model. I'm trying to get a used one but all the junkers freak out saying the "s" model is different than the base model caliper. I see them both as part #34216785611.

I think perhaps the caliper bracket is different, but the caliper is the same.

Can someone help me out and confirm that if I buy a rear brake caliper from any r56 (non John Cooper Works, obviously) then the caliper itself is going to be the same?

The caliper itself is the same on the rear: For S and NON S , unless you have a JCW brake kit ( red caliper ).
