I'm having trouble with my passenger outside door handle working. I can get it to work once in a while if I fight with it but the inside handle works fine. Any ideas what might need replaced?

 

I have the same problem but with the driver door. Except it only happens about once a month to me. When Mini was in for oil service they looked at door, oiled mechanism I think. It worked fine when at dealer so they couldn't find the problem. It hasn't happened again since it was in for service.

 

Thanks. Maybe I will just pull the door apart and lube it well and see if that helps. At this point I just open from the inside because its almost never working.

 

Try this: PUSH the door in while squeezing the handle latch bar. This relieves the pressure on the door latch and can make it much easier to release it. Then you can lubricate the latch mechanism and start opening the door as usual.

Thanks for the tips. I sprayed it with PB Blaster for 2 days then with PB Blaster lube and an Oil lubricant. Now it is working almost like new. Thank you again.
