Transmission Fluid

Well, I had a clutch conundrum. The throw-out bearing was chirping so i decided to just change the whole thing. I am military so we all know how work on our cars for military members can be. I have a small garage so to do the clutch i took my car back home. I got home late at like 2A.M and picked up my sister just to drive and catch up. Speed up to about 4 A.M. and the thing didn’t want to downshift well. Started heading towards home and shifted and heard a noise that sounded like metal over top of a shaft just free spinning. Tear the thing apart the next day and all the splines were torn out of the center of the clutch disc. Turns out my slave cylinder was failing without me even knowing.

Changed it all and recommend doing it by dropping the sub-frame. Much easier than messing with the engine (I’ve changed that too).

On to the question. When i pulled an axle it was on a weird angle and a lot of fluid drained out. I was in West Virginia back woods so we had a NAPA and an Auto Zone to find fluid at. I ended up getting some Royal Purple Syncromax simply because I was in a tight spot. Does anyone else use this? Everything seems so much smoother than the stock fluid that had 90,000 on it. Also important to point out that i don’t have limited slip.
