Adding hella driving lights to a xenon equipped R56

I've searched and searched for weeks on where to tap into the high beams for a xenon(HID) equipped R56. Ive added many sets of lights to traditional lighted vehicles. Is there a seperate wire to trigger the high beam output from the bulb like a traditional filament has?

Thanks

The HID headlights have only one bulb for both high and low beams. For low beam, a mechanical shutter shadows off the top part of the beam.

So you need to look for the solenoid that operates the shutter.

Look up the instructions for the factory druving/rally lights. There is a wire on the footwell module that you can splice into. The instructions have you splicing into a couple of wires, not sure which is which but a test lamp or voltmeter and a sharp probe should help you figure it out.
