R56 Justa Engine

What engine does the 2007 to 2013 R56 Justa utilize? I have read the 2007 to 2009 R56 S model uses the N14 engine that has some known issues. It sounds like the 2010 on R56 S models use the N18 engine that seems to be better.

How about the Justa R56 Cooper? Any known issues that should be avoided?

Thanks

The R56-R55 justa uses an N12 engine. No turbo & no direct injection. They are proving to be far more reliable than both the N14 & N18 engines. The one in my wife's R55 has been trouble free over 62,000 miles. Fingers crossed it continues that trend.

The 2010 MCS uses the N14 engine as well. It changed in 2011.

Thank you for the correction. The N14 was used in the 2010 S model.
