Endless Super knock/misfiring issue

I am having an endless super knocking or misfiring problem with my JCW (n14). After numerous trips to the dealer for more than a year and a combined total of a couple of months without the car they just cant seem to fix this car. Its becoming erratic of late, I cant drive the car without it misfiring. Numerous investigations took place, parts have been changed, motor has been replaced, specialist have been called in but the problem keeps coming back. Has anyone else been faced with the same issue?

Is my car just bad luck or am I not alone with this?

This is seriously putting me off from the MINI brand and I am considering getting rid of it for an S3 or a GTI. It has become a terrible experience.

Sounds like bad luck. Did they look at the electrical side of things? either being a faulty sensor, or some hiccup in the programming/ecu...

If the engine has been replaced, I wonder if its not a wiring harness issue. Perhaps there is a chaffed wire somewhere causing this issue. I too get superknock /misfire, but it is a rare occurance that only happens on WOT in higher gears. I've been trying this and that and also have not been able to stop it.
