BOV Adaptor, BOV Spring, CRV questions

Hello all,

I have an 08 S with a manual transmission. I would like to do a few small things that won't take long to do. This is my first Turbo car and it is pretty much stock and I haven't bought any of what's mentioned in the title.

My questions start at: as I am confused where the BOV adaptor goes, does it attach to the CRV and turbo housing?

Also, I am unaware if the BOV spring is in the CRV?

I've seen pictures on outmotoring but can't figure it out for sure. I would like to upgrade all three but if I buy an aftermarket CRV, I don't think I would want to upgrade the BOV spring if it is in fact located in the CRV (assuming the spring is already in the aftermarket CRV). I would like to get the adaptor and found cheaper ones on EBay that are not by Forge but do not come with installation instructions.

Please provide pictures if possible. I have an idea where they are on the Turbo but unsure what I have to remove to get to the area and hopefully upgrade these three parts all at one time.

I appreciate any attempt to help me further understand. Sorry for any possible confusions just take it easy on me lol

Best thing you can do is go on youtube watch videos and more research on google ,however I will try to explain. I do not know what a CRV is but if your referring to a diverter valve it is attach to the compressor side of the turbo housing. Remove the intake boot and unbolt the coolant tank and you cant miss it. 3 Allen bolts that hold it in place 4-5mm I think. Which also where the BOV spring is located inside of the diverter valve. Again youtube to dissemble the diverter valve there all the same from VW to Peugeot. Honestly would recommend going to WMW getting his diverter valve which has a stronger spring installed already for 65.00 bucks. Now his diverter valve doesn't make any noise but it is performance base and you can still install a Forge adaptor plate. Because most stock diverter valve tend to fail from the weak plastic. Taking it apart farther weakness the plastic. Anyway once you remove the diverter valve the BOV adaptor goes in before it. Then the diverter valve is installed on top of it with the longer bolts in the kit. Think of it like a sandwich (turbo BOV adaptor diverter valve)... FYI im selling my forge BOV adaptor for 50.00 shipped. Bolts and instructions still in box. Works great just taking my car back to stock for trade in.

Yes! You cleared that up for me! I think the diverter valve and the compressed recirculation valve is one and the same. I didn't realize and only know it was called the CRV through outmotoring among others. Thanks for the explanation and I'll check out WMW for the diverter valve. As for the adaptor, I am interested. I'll PM you later
