Torque app help, email logging?

I feel like a complete newbie, on the way home from work tonight I started logging on my Galaxy S5 and stopped logging the moment I got home. So I have been trying to email it to myself, options are KML Lines (Google earth) 2. KML Points (Google earth) and CSV (Comma separate values).

So I was only able to open the CSV files in CSV Reader but instead of logging Boost, AFR, Timing and IAT to name a few only to find useless longitude, latitude and GPS data which mean squat to me. I don't know what the hell I'm doing but all I wanted was a detailed log of Boost, AFR, Timing and IAT, even that seems like to much to ask for. I'd love to be able to view my logs showing what I want.

Anybody make sense out of any of this?

Much appreciated.

It's strange because the entire time your logging data it shows 6 gauges (RPM, Speed, Boost, AFR, Timing and IAT) but gives you meaningless data. I don't get it. I wasn't able to open the other files because Windows doesn't recognize the file type. I'm looking for a log of RPM, Boost, AFR, Timing and IAT etc. Isn't that why someone would want to log in the first place? On the Torque app forums there's no help there and while it seems like a great OBD2 tool there's zero support for it, what a shame.

It seems that everyone who had success logging were using Dashcommand. I've thought about trying the same. If it reads oil temp and pressure it will seal it for me. It uses separate software to make it work but the software is free.

KML is Keyhole Mark-up Language. Keyhole being the company that built what was to become Google Earth after Google bought them. There's a good chance that Google Earth will read those files, but I don't think you'll get the info you need out of them.

The KML files will likely only contain map location information. So it'll be lat/long or x/y and altitude. I doubt there would be any provision for AFR, boost, etc.

Logging with Torque works great, but selecting what to log is a little non-obvious. The gauges you select are NOT what gets logged, you have to set the OBD2 PIDs for logging separately. I made the same mistake the first time I tried to log data.

From the main Torque menu, hit the menu (the "gear"), then select Settings -> Data Logging & Upload -> Select what to log. Follow the prompts.

I find exporting as a CSV most useful. I haven't played with the Track Recorder plugin much, I use RaceChrono instead.

I would love to figure out the recipe for getting the oil pressure data from the ECU. I have experimented with the custom PIDs a bit but no luck.

I'll give that a try, but yeah I can't believe we can't monitor oil pressure! What kind of car doesn't have a way to measure oil pressure? It's go to be a Mini! Stupid.
