irritating buzzing sound from the gauge pod...

My wife's car has a number of irritating buzzing, rattling sounds coming from the front dash area. They're especially noticeable with the colder weather.

I've isolated the worst offender as coming from the front gauge behind the steering wheel. If I press on the plastic "window" the buzzing immediately stops.

Has anyone ever removed this part or the surrounding ring? How does it come apart? Or is there some other fix for this problem like injecting krazy glue along the edge of the ring...

any help would be appreciated.

I've never taken the tach apart, but it comes off with two torx screws and should come apart after you take the three screws off the back. Adjust the steering wheel all the way down and toward the driver for more room to work.
