2012 MCS Scangauge 2 boost question!

Hello!

I wanted to ask you a question, recently bought me a mini cooper s 2012 and install a scangauge 2.

the question is about the reading of the boost in psi, it is normal that are in neutral if I speed up the boost does not increase? I speed up thoroughly and not mark more than 0.8 psi, when I first, second, etc gear accelerating moderately boost does not increase neither... unless they speed up thoroughly then climbs.

it is normal that at first accelerating full raise the boost up to 8 psi or 9 psi, then second climb to 11 psi and third climb to 13-14 psi? not should have the same psi on all the changes?

Best Regards

Yes the ECU limits torque in first and second gear. It does this by limiting boost. It's intended to reduce tire slip and increase longevity of the power-train.
