I got a call from the wife this morning with her saying she could not remove the fob from the dash. She was only about 4 miles away and I jumped on my bike to go there to see what I could do. The car was off, I could not get the fob to eject, and the car would not start. I gave my spare fob to my wife where she could go into work while I messed with the car.

I sat there for about 5 minutes looking at everything then I realized the dang gear shifter is in reverse. I put it in park and the fob came out without any issue. I reinserted and cranked the car. No issues except the little blond wife.

 

I had that problem when I drove an AT loaner for the first time. I'd gotten so used to leaving a car in gear, it took me a minute to figure out what was up.
