Ive had my 2013 for 6 months and 3800 mules. The oil change due light went red with 7/2014.

Is this normal? Will MINI service it with no complaints?

All I can figure out, is the car was delivered to the dealer 08/2013, so its been a year since it was built not bought.

A year is one of the criteria for oil if you don't cover enough mileage. They'll service it.

Yep, it's due for the yearly oil change. With 3,800 miles on a new engine, be happy you'll get the first change early in the mini's life..

Totally normal.. My 13 went in for an oil change with just under 2k.
