This may be a question previously answered but I am hoping the community can help.
What is the major difference between a front bumper cover for a base model
oem# 51117268746 and a front cover for an (S) model.

Is the fitment the same except for the grills or is it totally different in regards
to how it aligns on the vehicle. To be more specific, can you swap between the two without major modification?

I suspect you may need to swap the bumper carrier as well (the metal bit that the plastic covers). Check www.realoem.com parts diagrams for both and compare.

No difference in fenders. As long as you have a compatible carrier it'll bolt (or screw and plastic clip) right on. You'll want to pick up an S grille and lower grille trim piece if you weren't already planning to.

EDIT: You piqued my curiosity so I went to realoem.com myself and checked. The carrier part numbers are the same; bumper cover should go right on. S vs. Non-S (diagrams are both for 2012 models, but should be the same for all '11 - 13s)
