Dash Vent

One of my dash vents is loose and is invariably pointing down. Is there any easy fix for this?

Mine are too. I've thought of folding painters tape and shoving it in there, kind of fixing it to one position. Glue on it would melt tho

Temporary fix might be to spray some tacky adhesive in it and then point it where you want it. Clean up any leftover to look neat. The 3M spray adhesive I am thinking of is thin, clear and not very strong, used for reattaching cloth headliners.

If you are willing to take it out, you will probably see why it doesn't work right anymore; a compression ring or something is loose. Sorry, I don't exactly what the Mini looks like in there, but on older cars there used to be a felt strip circling the "ball" to hold it in position.

Mine too. I thought it was just me and I end up just adjusting it fairly often. I will ask the service department the next time I am at mini though
