Removing Door Entry Strips

Hi, I have these fitted to my 2010 R57, they are the JCW ones and I think they were fitted from new. I want to fit a new set of illuminated ones to the car, so, how would you suggest I remove the old ones. Would you suggest I slowly lift them with a plastic tool of some sort, or, use dental floss underneath first?
How would you then clean the mess underneath with the glue/tape etc, what would be the best "stuff" to use to easily clean the mess off? Thanks, Dave

Just rip them off. I used a plastic spatula. They are nearly impossible to save. New ones cost about $50 each if the illuminated one don't work out..

Try "goof off" for the tape mess underneath. What ever you use, first try it in a spot that will be covered by the new strip, in case it damages the paint/finish.

Simply, lift, grab and peel.

Don't expect to use it again once it comes off,

As for the cleanup, WD-40, followed with a little goof off works.

I just removed both of mine after the adhesive allowed the corner to lift ann d get kabashed by the door. I used a heat gun and got them off without damaging them further. I straightened them to the best of my ability and put them back on with 3m molding double sided tape.
