How to remove grill Trim?

Need recommendations on removing the chrome grill trim. I tried with a trim removal tool, worked great on head and tail lights but grill trim would not give. Any suggestions or tips???

Unscrew the screws on the top piece and release the tabs on the bottom piece.

The tabs on the lower piece are connected to the grill. Put a flat head screw driver behind the fasteners on the top part of the grill. Pry out and remove the fasteners. The grill will cone out and the lower trim can be released easier that way.

I tried with a flat head screw driver a few weeks ago and ended up with a two inch cut in on my land hard. :-/ Wear thick gloves!

There is two parts to the fasteners that attached tithe frame. The inner part separates from the part connected from the car itself. It takes minimal effort to py the out.
