Help!
Changing the front wheel bearing but I can't seem to access the 4 bolts on the back of the hub in order to get it it off the axle....I have it stripped down to the hub but can't get at those bolts....what am I missing

I've only done one a few months ago. I ended up freeing the axle from the hub so I could get a swivel socket in behind the cv joint. It is kind of tricky because you really don't want to pull the axle out of the transmission side because you will probably have to replace the seal too. Loosen the big nut on the end of the axle until it is just flush with the end of the axle. Use a soft hammer or a wood block and whack the nut; you're supposed to replace it anyway. Once the axle is free sliding on the hub you can get the bolts out the back while holding\pulling the carrier away from the car to the end of the axle. Turning the wheel helps. You won't be able to pull the axle free of the hub until the 4 bolts are out. It really helps to have an extra hand here, I thought, but I did not and managed to not pull the axle out of the transmission! Yeah!
