can someone tell me if these look original or not?

Collision center got new stripes but they are saying they aren't the same and the ones that were on there were after market. He said the new ones from Mini have a black stipe between the white and our old ones aren't like that.

are there different Mini versions and they got the wrong one or what?

 

The ones currently on there do not look stock, I do believe they are telling the truth that factory white stripes have a black outline, just like the black stripes have a white outline. Look at the picture below and you can see a faint black outline.

 

Correct. The white stripes have a black "rule" or outline, and the black stripes have a white outline. I had the black ones on my '10 R56. The ones currently on your car are definitely not a factory item (I like them, though).

 

Who cares??? Go to a vinyl shop and get what you want.

 

fwiw when I got a new hood I waited about six months after the body shop was done with the painting before putting the stripes on. Give the paint some time to "cure".

The stripes in the pic are definitely aftermarket.
