Does differential go straight thru - can't remove axle

I am trying to remove the drivers CV axle on an '07 base automatic. It does not want to come out... even with prybars and a slidehammer/puller.

Am I missing something... it does just pull out, correct?

I already removed the passenger side axle and extension from the trans. I am wondering if the differential goes straight thru (no center pin), and if I can tap on the LH axle thru the RH output shaft hole.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Any ideas please let me know.

Steve H.

I ended up just removing the inner boot clamp and pulling the axle/joint from the tulip.
