2009 R56 S dash board failure

I have a 2009 R56S just recently (two weeks ago) changed the battery and thermostat housing. Two days ago i noticed my key fob wouldnt unlock the doors so I open it with the key and the car starts without a problem. However, the tachometer, speedometer, steering wheel buttons, heat, and all the buttons under the speedometer don't work. The radio does turn along with all lights. There are also no gong sounds or anything. I have checked all of the fuses and all are OK.

Any ideas what this problem could be?

There are a number of threads where Mini's have strange problems like you're describing when batteries are failing. You said you recently replaced the battery. Was it fully charged when installed? Have you been driving the car enough to put a good charge in the new battery? Are the battery connections clean and tight? You might want to get the new battery tested.

Which battery did you replace it with? OEM, aftermarket? We need more info.

It's an autozone duralast gold battery. I have driven the car on pretty long drives over an hour about three times since changing the battery. I will check the battery this evening.

So I tested the battery it shows about 70%. I will be replacing it. But could this be the cause? Alternator checked to be good.

Changed the battery and no luck. I think I'm on to something though. Playing with the fuse relays it may be the big one on the passenger side. Unplugged part number 61366901469 in the passenger side fuse panel. Everything is back to normal for now I will go get a new one to the dealer to see if it could be that.

Could this be a result of not "reprogramming" the new battery to the car?

This is the list of codes I got:
P15FE
P1551
P110F
P1409
P1433
P0503

Could this be bad gas? Bad ecu? A result of changing the thermostat?

2009 r56 s and out of warranty with 62k miles

I've observed a couple of my MCS features to where if you leave the radio on for a short period (without key FOB inserted) it will turn itself off after a predetermined time, my point is the Mini thinks for itself and makes adjustments to certain clusters to save on power draw and keep unneeded and unwanted things powered off. So it shuts certain things off.

With that said what I think and what I know is I can't say it's because of the battery not being programmed for a new one. I don't know so I'm not going to say, but if were in your shoes I might be inclined to having the battery replaced and programmed to a new battery at dealer, am I saying that's what you should do, again I don't know. Just telling what I would do.

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in here.
