I recently replaced my 195/55 original tires with 205/50 replacements. When I had my car into the dealer for a check engine light (and subsequent thermostat replacement), the SA recommended an alignment for $200. I knew I could do better elsewhere and saw many favorable posts on Firestone alignments so I booked an appointment last weekend. Upon arrival, however, I was told they won't do alignments on MINIs, BMWs and most Audis. I checked with my regular mechanic and he was reluctant as well.

Given all the posts I read about Firestone I was surprised to be turned away. Does anyone else know of a reputable chain that will do the work, or an independent shop in my area?
